Today is Holocaust Memorial Day throughout the world. In commemoration, my friend and colleague Tony Lobl has written an extraordinary blog post, “Emerging from the shadow of the Holocaust – my three transitional moments.”
Tony is an excellent writer and this post is one of his best. He reflects on his own “journey of emergence from the shadows of fear and hatred which came from being raised by parents who had been forced to flee from the fury of the Holocaust.”
As he grew up in London and began to learn of the enormity of the Holocaust, he found himself wishing he had never been born. He shares three distinct moments in his life that freed him from a pessimistic life view, fear of a recurring holocaust and chronic ill health. Today, Tony is a Christian Science practitioner living and writing in London. His post is longer than most, but I encourage you to click on the link and read his inspiring story. Thanks Tony!
